Which app should I install?
On Windows, install from the Microsoft Store — it is signed, installs without administrator rights, and Windows keeps it updated. Use the Android production app for the mobile companion.

What is the difference between the Store version and the downloaded installer?
They are the same application from the same build. The Store copy is installed and updated by Windows; the downloaded .exe checks our release feed and updates itself. Use the direct installer only if the machine cannot reach the Store.
Does Transport Book work without an internet connection?
Yes. Records are written to a database on your own machine first, and sync to your shared database when the connection returns. Features that call an outside service — maps, GPS, fuel cards — need a connection at the moment you use them.
Where is my business data stored?
In a local database in your user profile, and in the shared database your organisation configures in the app’s sync settings. Attached documents go to the storage you nominate — your Google Drive, OneDrive, S3 bucket, or network folder.
Why does Android ask about unknown apps?
The APK is installed directly rather than through Google Play, so Android asks you to approve the download source.
Can beta and production Android apps coexist?
Yes. They use separate package identifiers and release channels.
Can beta and production desktop apps coexist?
Yes. The beta uses a separate application identity, data directory, release manifest, and Windows update feed. The beta is not published to the Microsoft Store.
Why does macOS show a warning?
The current ARM64 DMG is distributed manually and is not yet signed and notarized.
How do Windows updates work?
The Microsoft Store copy is updated by Windows. The downloaded NSIS installer checks the official release feed and offers updates in the application. The MSI package does not update itself — deploy a newer MSI instead.
